The two directors, and shareholders, of the company are Henry Lechem and Trevor Morris.
The company was established in 1991.
Over the past 25 years the directors have had extensive experience in the property and financial services sectors, specifically in residential, retail, commercial and hospitality-related assets in Australia. The focus has been on value-adding opportunities.
The company has an ASIC licence which enables it to raise funds from sophisticated investors. Since 1991 Linear Group has been involved in property transactions to the value of approximately $600 million.
The directors have been, and are, responsible for project origination and strategy, the funding, packaging, structuring and syndication of property transactions and every aspect of the development, management and marketing of the properties. In the case of investment properties and going-concerns, including hotels, they are involved in the day-to-day management and enhancement of the properties and businesses.
Henry Lechem
A Chartered Accountant by profession, was for many years managing director of an international packaging manufacturing group. Over the years the group built up a sizeable property portfolio, and he developed an interest and expertise in commercial property. In 1991 Henry formed the Linear Group with Trevor Morris.
Trevor Morris
A Barrister by profession, was an investment banker in Sydney, before he became the chief executive of a London-based retail chain in Australia and the U.S.A, where he built up a successful chain of accessory stores. In the process he developed an expertise in retail and commercial property. He returned to Australia and formed the Linear group.
